Ericeira offer tennis with completely new hard courts and artifical grass.
Playing tennis is as we see it, a fantastic way to have fun and also get exercise. There are 3 facilities in the nearby area for tennis, a new hard court and artificial grass. If you prefer clay courts, you can find several in Sintra, Estoril and Cascais.
We have listed the 3 local facilities and some of our favorite tennis clubs in the Cascais area (approx 45 mins from our house).
And Padel? There is a padel court (indoor) in Mafra, so if it is raining or windy, the indoor court is a perfect place.

BreakPoint Ericeira
Just re-opened (new owners) with newly refreshed hard courts and soon to come, a restaurant in the condominium area "Moinhos do Mar" in Ericeria. Open for everybody. The best surface and best tennis courts in the area.

Municipal Sport Center, Ericerira
Used to be called Ericeira Club, but since 2022 the Municipility has the operative responsibility for the establishment. Can be windy due to the closeness to the see. But fantastic see view and sunsets.

Parque Desportivo Municipal de Mafra
The municipal of Mafra has provided the area with large sports arena, with a indoor and outdoor swimming pool, football arena and 4 artificial grass tennis courts. Cheaper than in Ericeira, but a bit longer artficial grass so the ball is not responding as yuo might be used to. Nearby is the indoor padel court.

Our favourite number one: nice staff, great trainers, authentic, clay outdoor and indoor. 10 tennis courts, three under roof, 6 padel. Walking distance to the biggest beach with a lot of restaurants and surfers all year around.

Clube Ténis Estoril
Estoril tennis club helds yearly the only ATP tournament in Portugal, the Millenium Estoril Open, next date is 30/3 - 7/4 2024. The tennis club has 13 courts, clay both outdoor and indoor, a few hard courts and 4 padel.

Quinta da Marinha Racket Club
The Racket Club has 8 tennis court courts (3 of which are covered), 9 Padel courses (6 covered and 3 uncovered), 3 Squash courts, Clubhouse, shop and bathhouses in an area of more than 3000m2.
